About the Role

Cowra Council is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced applicant to fill the position of Human Resources Officer within the General Manager's Department of Council. 

The position of Human Resources Officer is to assist the Manager - Human Resources in providing effective Human Resources services and support across all areas of Council.  Emphasis is on Human Resources Administration, Recruitment, Employee Inductions, Learning & Development, Worker's Compensation and Performance Reviews. 

Applicants will need to possess relevant business administration experience in a similar role.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated high level written and verbal communication along with excellent customer service skills.  Candidates must also be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).  The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to set own priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines as well as having an excellent attention to detail.  Applicants must have a proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in relation to personnel matters.  Local Government experience would be an advantage.
